Surveys
A survey shown to everyone tells you very little. ReleaseDock surveys run inside your widget, reach only the people you target, and send every answer to a sensible next step, from a review link to a follow-up question.
No separate survey tool and no extra script. Surveys run inside the widget you already embed.
Pick Net Promoter Score, Customer Satisfaction, Customer Effort Score, Product Market Fit, a quick poll, an open question, or a review request, or start blank.
Target by sign-in status, JWT attribute, or URL, then set a trigger, a frequency, and optional start and end dates.
Confirm the start and watch scores, the completion funnel, and answers arrive. Export to CSV anytime.
Pick the question, decide who sees it, and send each answer somewhere useful.
Single and multiple choice, dropdown, open text, rating, smiley, NPS on a fixed 0 to 10 scale, and a link step.
NPS, CSAT, CES, and PMF with a trend over the life of the survey.
Jump to any later question or the end, based on a choice, a number, or text the answer contains.
Signed-in status, JWT attributes, and URL rules, all of which must match.
Page load or a time delay, then show once, recurring, or on every visit.
One project-wide setting that stops survey after survey for the same person.
Schedule a start and an end, and the survey switches itself on and off.
Funnel, answer breakdowns, signed-in versus anonymous, CTA click-through, and a full CSV export.
Running surveys lock their questions so results stay comparable. Duplicate or stop one to change it.
The practical details, before you sign up.
Eight: single choice, multiple choice, dropdown, open text, rating scale, smiley scale, NPS on a fixed 0 to 10 scale, and a link step with a call-to-action button. You can mix them in one survey. Matrix and ranking questions are not available.
Add targeting rules. You can require signed-in or anonymous visitors, match a custom attribute in the JWT you sign (equals, not equals, or exists), and match the page URL (equals, contains, or a regular expression). Every rule has to match, and a visitor without a JWT never matches a rule that needs one.
On page load or after a delay you set, once the visitor matches your targeting. Only one survey shows at a time and any others wait in order. In single-page apps, URL rules are checked again when the route changes.
Each survey can show once, recur on later visits, or show on every visit. On top of that, a project-wide fatigue window, set in days, holds back every other survey for someone who was just shown one.
Yes. The Review request template opens with an NPS question, sends scores of 9 or 10 to a call-to-action step that links to your review page, and asks scores of 0 to 6 what fell short. You can build the same pattern with branch rules on any NPS or rating question.
NPS, CSAT, CES, and PMF scores with a trend over time, a funnel of shown, started, completed, and dismissed, answer breakdowns per question, signed-in versus anonymous respondents, and click-through on call-to-action steps. Scores and the funnel are exact; breakdowns use a sample of up to 500 responses, and the CSV export always includes every response.
While a survey runs, its questions, options, order, and branching are locked so results stay comparable. You can still rename it or change the end date, duplicate it into a new draft, or stop it to edit again. Collected responses are never discarded.
No. Surveys render inside the ReleaseDock widget you already embed, in its Shadow DOM, using your widget's primary color. They appear as a slide-in or a centered modal, whether or not the visitor opens the widget panel.
